MY HEAD. MY BRAIN. OH GOD.

LOST, NEVER CHANGE. SO GOOD.

Some thoughts, SPOILERS of course, AND CHAINS AND OTHER CRAZY STUFF )

Ah yeah, I read that the finale airs on the 23rd of May. THAT'S AWESOME! Well for me, because I'm in Dublin (YAY) from the 9th until the 22nd. So I only have to catch up one episode and not the whole finale and I won't have to think the whole time AJDFLKSAF I NEED TO SEE HOW IT ENDS while visiting all the U2 related places. phew.

Other topic:

MASS EFFECT 2

It is amazing!! It's mostly about the characters, how you recruit them, gain their loyalty and get to know them. And I love that! Mass Effect 1 was already great, but the second part is even better. (although the scanning can be annoying.)

I didn't play it through yet, but I'm ahead the finale mission.

SPOILERS about Archangel and romances )

I also love all the details like the commercials in the Citadel (Elcor Hamlet version. 14 hours long. BEST THING EVER.) and all the little conversations you can pick up.

And Mordin singing? Epic.

HELL YEAAAH!

I GOT TICKETS FOR A U2 CONCERT! For my FIRST U2 concert! OHGODAJDFAKSFJL<3!

Last Thursday it was annoced that they're coming to Switzerland. The last time they came here was 5 years ago. I became a huge U2 fangirl 2004 and when I heard they were coming to Zurich, the concert was already sold out. (in 40 minutes) I waited and hoped 5 years long. 5 freaking years. And I envied everyone who went to a concert. And now, FINALLY, I'll see my all time favourite band, too. 8D
Today, I was able to buy GA tickets thanks to the presale. Thank God, because the normal sale is going to be one big, crazy run for tickets. (the ticket sale for the Swiss AC/DC concert was finished after 12 minutes. O_o I wonder how long it's going to take for U2 this time.)

But that wasn't the only concert to be annouced the last weeks:
MUSE is also coming back to Switzerland. And I got tickets for them, too. *yeees!*
When they were in Zurich some months ago, I wasn't able to go, but for Bern, I'm ready!
17th-Jan-2010 10:26 pm - Yes, I like award shows…
Michael Emerson_Hinks
Tonight are the Golden Globes!

I'm keeping my fingers crossed for Michael Emerson. And for Christoph Waltz. And for District 9. And for U2. But mostly for Michael Emerson. (Just watched The Practice episodes again, in which he was guest starring in. So mind-blowing good.)

15 DAYS until the final season of Lost begins, ADFJKJSAFJAJSF CAN'T WAIT. Especially for the Richard centric episode. (mhh Richard… *drool*) I just finished my Lost rewatch last week, so I'm perfect prepared for it.

btw, I can't believe I didn't find those Lost Untangled videos sooner. The voiceover can be annoying sometimes but there's some crazy funny stuff.
LOL, LIKE THE PART WITH THE BAND "PREVIOUSLY ON LOST" (FTW) AND THE DANCING STATUE. XD

"WHAAAAAAAAT!? WE CAN UNDO EVERYTHING??!"
"I'M ON A NUKE!"
"You've been ignoring me, Jacob…I'm talking to you Jacob…Jacob?"
*SAWYER IS STRONG BUT THE FORCE IS STRONGER*
*KILLING PHIL WHAT A THRIL*

PS: Lately I got into BioShock. AND I LOVE IT.

PPS: Mass Effect 2 is going to be legendary!

I just finished Battlestar Galactica Season 4.

Wow…… WOW!

…I cried a lot. Really a lot. More than I ever cried while watching a finale or any episode of any TV show. Oh God, BSG, what have you done to me? <3

Oh there were so many memorable scenes, dialogues, characters in all the seasons. Just for the moment some thoughts:

I put better a SPOILER here )

How could I've ever underestimated that show? How?

EMMY Awards
YES! Michael Emerson won! Finally! So happy for him, he really deserves it. I literally made a nerd dance of joy when I read the good news. 8D

*cough* ah yeah, "nerd dance of joy":

The Big Bang Theory. My new all-time favourite sitcom. Every single episode makes me fall off my chair because of laughing. Mostly because of Sheldon. (Jim Parsons, *sigh*… a new name for my favourite actors list. :D)
Just one of the many, many scenes, I laughed myself to tears while watching it:

----

Uhhh Fringe, is back! :D
- Olivia flying through that window, what a HOLYCRAP moment. But what did Bell just told her? And that soldier, oh fff… (Nooooo, Charlie ;__;)
- Walter was crazy and funny as always. And Peter a hot smart ass. I approve.
- Party hat + the cow = FTW

I also started watching Battlestar Galatica. First it was quite confusing for me because I hadn't any background knowledge but in course of the first season I began to like it.

And tonight, new HIMYM and TBBT episodes! <3
And new ones of Heroes, too. Eventhough I was dissappointed of the 3rd season, I will watch it. ZQ is still awesome and I want to know how they work out the Nathan/Sylar storyline.

btw, I saw DISTRICT 9. And I loved it.

Gravity Gun + Pig =

No seriously, it was gripping, emotional, funny and crazy, dirty, brutal and ingenious, if you ask me.

-----------

Oh to all who doesn't know it already: One of the best musicals in the world:
A VERY POTTER MUSICAL
Every second of it is "totally awesome." True fact.

NIN
I FOUND THE MOST AWESOME THING EVER:
The Muppet Show spoofs NINE INCH NAILS

I'm dead. Literally on the ground. Dead from laughing. The snail drummer, just look at that drummer. OH HOLY FUCKING MOTHER OF GOD THIS IS GENIUS. XD And they kinda sound like NIN, don't they?

I was at the St. Galler Openair and a weekend before at the Southside Festival. And both times the main reason why I had to go to these festivals was Nine Inch Nails.
It was my first time I saw NIN live. And I am SO grateful that they came for the "Wave Goodbye Tour" to Switzerland and that I even had the chance to see them a second time. :D Of course it was simply awesome. Aww man, it rocked so much. I heard "Something Damaged" and "Reptile" live. Months ago I never thought I'm going to experience to hear these songs live. 8D
Both times I had luck and I got really good places. At the Southside I was in the second row, middle (for the two last songs, Head Like A Hole and Hurt, I got pushed in the first row :D). And at the St. Gallen openair I got a place at the first row middle. For that place I had be there 3 concerts before actually NIN played but right of me they were fans who waited way more longer.

Both times I had for a week a hoarse voice because I've sung along all the time.

Other bands I've seen live:

Southside
Franz Ferdinand - Saw them there for the second time. Their concerts are simply amazing. I wasn't in the front but doesn't matter. I was in the middle, I had a pretty good view and I had enough space to dance.
And also Editors (Didn't know them before but I liked their music immediately.), Johnossi, Gogol Bordello, The Ting Tings, Blood Red Shoes, The Rakes, Disturbed and The Wombats.

St. Gallen
Editors, Farin Urlaub Racing Team, Johnossi, Stress, Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds, Milow, The Streets, Mando Diao (for some reason their concert was the worst of all the ones. I almost fell asleep. Even my friends who are Mando fans were dissapointed.)
----

I realized today that on my "Sometimes You Can't Make It On Your Own" DVD single there's the Trent Reznor Remix of Vertigo. So yes, I needed 4 years to notice that. *facepalm*
----

In the last weeks I became a "How I Met Your Mother" addict. One of the funniest sitcom ever, y/y?
I always fell from the seat of laughing when I see that scene when Robin plays the heavy metal music with the dog pictures in the news:
"Course a lot of people calling in thought we're going to kill them…"
----

I watched the two Hellboy movies and love them! Abe Sapien became my favourite character in the first minute he appeard. Seriously, he's cute. The part in the second movie, when Abe and Hellboy get together drunk and sing "Can't Smile Without Your"? Epic. Just epic. <3
I ordered the first trade paperback "Hellboy: Seed of Destruction" and can't wait to read it.
----

The new Harry Potter movie… well I go on holidays for the next two weeks. After that I'm going to see it with friends.
First I was so excited for it because it's my favourite book of the series. But now I read everywhere that one half of the movie is about the unimportant love problems of the three main characters (I expected it but hoped that I would be wrong) and that there are ONLY TWO scenes of all the memories about Voldemort. WHAT. THE. HELL? God, that makes me furious.

Oh I just hope that the director and writers don't fuck up the last two movies, especially the part from the chapter "The Prince's Tale", THE best, most emotional and revealing chapter of all the HP books if you ask me.

I watched the livestream for the Microsoft conference. And WOHOO, they showed us Halo 3: ODST gameplay and a trailer for another new Halo game! (SAFDFAKS;ASDFA, sorry)

The figure at the left looks like an Elite, doesn't it? AWYEAH! (it doesn't make sense at the moment, though.)

HALO: REACH trailer
zomg, click.

AND NEW HALO 3: ODST TRAILER
Here!
At bungie.net there are also new in-game screenshots.

But there's still nothing new about Half-Life 2: Episode 3 or Portal 2. But they showed already a trailer for Left 4 Dead 2. And Left 4 Dead was just released last year. Come on Valve. Please, just one new thing about Episode 3.

The "Natal project" didn't make me excited. Now they're really going the same direction like Nitendo with the Wii. Hmpf. And all the last.fm, Facebook, twitter stuff for Xbox Live, well not really necessary if you ask me. I bought my Xbox 360 for playing video games and that's enough for me. And when I want to move my body and play soccer, I go outdoors and not in front of my TV-screen.
But the thing with that virtual "friend", that Lionhead Project Milo? UGH. WHAT THE HELL? Microsoft, are you turning into Skynet or what? Who needs that (except people who never go outside and don't have any friends)? Well, my opinion.

Something different:

2009 MTV Movie Awards Digital Short: Explosions

Aw omg, that song! xD And JJ Abrahms playing on the keyboard rocks incredible. Love it!

At [info]ontd_startrek they have already gifs of it. <3 -> the lol

And at the E3 there's going to be more. FFFFFFFFF, I WANT THAT GAME NOW. Aw lol, someone is falling through a window. WATCHMEN ANYONE? <3
And I can't wait for new stuff about Halo 3: ODST, neiter. :D And I hope so much Valve will show us finally something about Half-Life: Episode 3 or/and Portal 2. (I'll faint, if they will.)
I became interested for Bioshock 2. I watched some vids, and I like the idea to play a Big Daddy and to fight a Big Sister.
Btw, didn't buy Halo Wars yet. xD

WATCHMEN

I saw the movie with a friend for the first time at the 4th March, when it was the German sneak preview. Last Wednesday I saw it for the second time. In the last weeks I was extremely busy because of school, so I didn't found time to post here about it. I have to catch that up now, because OH GOD I LOVE THAT MOVIE. I LOVE IT SO MUCH!
I had almost the whole time goosebumbs. Sometimes I was kneeling in the chair, it was so stunning, I couldn't just sit.

Ok, it wasn't totally perfect but I didn't excepted it to be. As a fan of the original GN I'm extremely satisfied. I understand almost all the changes and cuts they made.
Actually the movie should have a lenght of…7 houres? Eh, I don't know. The 163 minutes felt like 40 minutes, I could have sat there for houres. *waiting for director's cut, OH YEAH 8D*

Some thoughts *SPOILERS* )

–––––––––––––––

NINE INCH NAILS. COMING TO OPENAIR ST GALLEN.
I read it yesterday at school in the gratuitous newspaper and I literally freaked out. I didn't except to see NIN live in the near future, because of the announcing that Trent made at nin.com, that NIN will disappear for a while. I gave up. AND NOW THIS. OH GOD YES 8D The ticket is already bought.

–––––––

U2.

I like the new album. It's great. (I loooove Magnificent.) But…mhh, overall I'm not totally blown away by it. Anyway, of course I still frigging love them. Never saw them live before and naturally (we're talking about U2!) I have the huge desire to be on a U2 concert some day. But they're not coming to Switzerland in near future, neither to Austria or elsewhere in the proximity. And I don't have the opportunity to travel just like that to Dublin, Amsterdam or Berlin in the middle of a week, in the middle of schooltime. Ah well, crap… At least I can see Franz Ferdinand and Nine Inch Nails.

––––––––

OMGLOL. First I didn't get it and then I looked again and…I had tears in my eyes. Laughed too hard.
